Thailand Trip

I am now back from my trip to Thailand. For those that don't know- I had the opportunity from work to go on this trip for business. It was a great experience that I will never forget. Although from these pics, you may think that we never worked, but yes, we did get quite a bit accomplished, but also was able to do some site seeing to! These pics are just a snapshot from the trip, but wanted to share with you seeing many of you have or will be asking how it was. If you ever get the chance to travel- take it. I do not know the next time if ever, I will be able to experience this.

This is the view from my hotel room. That is the patio area below. The hotel was beautiful- 5 star- excellent service. I was spoiled the week!!!
We all had hotel river views from the hotel. It sure was different waking up each morning to this as opposed to a view in Connecticut.

A Wat (temple) in Ayuttya that we visited on Sunday.

The city ruins of Ayuttyua
A fresh cut coconut in Bangkok.

On top of a Wat getting an overlook of the ruins.
One of the many Wat in Bangkok
Elephants!!!!!

Elephant riding with Kozo (IT guy from Japan that was on our trip too)

Bruce, Gabriella, myself- on outside tower overlooking city of Bangkok at Bioke Towers. We ate dinner on the 85th floor of the tower that overlooks the city in every direction, then we went up to the 86th floor to go outside to view it. It was breath taking!!!!
My sister, Colleen, would appreciate this!!! On one of the dinner dates that we had with our vendors- we went to a place called The Seafood Market- "if it swims in the sea, we have it" How fitting it was! It is a restaurant, but you take a shopping cart and go around and pick any and all kinds of seafood you can think of, then you pay for it, bring it back to the table and tell the cook how you want it. Was awesome!!! Below are the local lobsters, they also had fresh Maine ones too! It was nice to have a little pics of home close to you :)
No- i didn't eat it all myself! But this is how big the lobster was!!! We ate VERY well that night! You're out of luck if you don't like seafood!
Colleen- took this one just for you! :) This was part of the over 4lber that we had!

The King's Palace Site Seeing Day
Bruce, Brenda, me, Gabriella, Dave, Kozo
The temple guards. Everything we saw was very detailed!

This is the King' s Palace. Not a bad place to live!
The group again taking a rest!
We got to see the changing of the guards. They stand there for an hour at a time.
Pic of me with guard and elephant. Elephants are a very big thing in Thailand!
We were able to feed some of the monstrous size fish.
This was a pretty cool experience! They were all on top of each other!

In America- you think nothing of this, but for us- everywhere we saw was dogs, dogs, dogs, we wondered if cats even existed in Thailand- except besides as a meal. But when we saw these 2 cuties, we had to take a picture- so peaceful!
The Reclining Budda- that was a site to see.

Some passing monks- had to get a picture!

This was on behalf of Nathan- everywhere in traffic there are scooters or motorcycles- they are the easiest things to travel around the city in- especially if you need to get somewhere quick. I snapped a few, but this did not nearly do any justice!
View of only part of the city. everywhere you look there is part of the city. This was at our hotel.
Me with a few of our customers at dinner- Thai food.
After dinner, we got some ice cream- still not the same as home, but it was as close to it as I would get. I saw this picture and thought of Brynn, so had to take it!
This was in the airport at Bangkok. The last pics I would take in Thailand. Even the airport had so much detail in it!
Also in the airport.
I am happy to be back home, but have a better appreciation for it after visiting Thailand. Now if only I can get back to my normal sleeping patterns!!! :)
